"Myrjam and Leo have created a wonderful place at Ging Oya Lodge with minimal impact on the natural environment. Spacious, airy bungalows are reached by paths which wind between coconut palms & other native trees, affording privacy and quietness. It was so calm and peaceful to sit on the verandah overlooking the river and watch the tropical birds, a perfect retreat."

We are proud to say that as of 2018, we no longer sell mineral water in plastic bottles. Instead, you will find durable and reusable bottles in your room and free drinking water is available from our eco-tap near the pool. This water is of the same standard as bottled drinking water, which means that during your stay with us, you won't have to buy the disposable plastic bottles that are a major contributor to the global waste problem.
Our eco-tap uses a commercial 5 step purification system with reverse osmosis membranes and UV treatment and purifies your water in three stages.
Firstly, the reverse osmosis water purification system filters the water through a carbon cartridge which removes chlorine and sediment. Next is the purification stage where the water is pushed through a fine membrane designed to remove almost all contaminants, including lead, totally dissolved solids such as fluoride and recycled sewage water, and many other impurities. Finally, the water flows through another carbon cartridge to polish the water before consumption, reducing 97% of all contaminants in your tap water.
